Legal framework and confidentiality
All of our interventions are carried out in strict compliance with the applicable legislative framework, fundamental rights and the rules governing the collection, use, retention and protection of personal information.
Every mandate undergoes a prior analysis to confirm its legitimacy, scope and objectives. The investigative means selected are determined by the specific circumstances of the case and must at all times remain lawful, proportionate and justified.
The confidentiality of the information entrusted to us is a fundamental obligation. Rigorous measures are applied to ensure the protection of information, the discretion of our interventions and the integrity of the evidence gathered throughout the mandate.
Law 25 and the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms
At Privada Solution inc., the protection of personal information and respect for privacy are at the heart of our practices. We comply with the laws in force in Quebec, in Ontario and across Canada.
Law 25 — Protection of personal information
Law 25 modernizes Quebec’s rules on the protection of personal information. It governs the collection, use, retention, disclosure and destruction of such information.
Accordingly, we designate a person in charge of the protection of personal information, limit collection to what is necessary, adequately protect our files, govern their retention and destruction, and keep a register of confidentiality incidents.
The Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms
Respect for privacy is a fundamental right recognized by Quebec’s Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms, notably in section 5:
